“Sheila used to sing with the Screamers, but before that, she was one of my Canterbury roommates. I have more Sheila stories than I can possibly fit on this page, so I’ll just tell you about this photo. She asked me to snap this lovely picture of her after she’d been in a big fight with Barbara James (who was later my bandmate in the Cambridge Apostles.) Sheila was convinced that she was a vampire and she tried to prove it by taking a bite out of Barbara’s stomach during the fight. Barbara was a brawler herself so it was quite an epic battle. Castration Squad later wrote and performed a song called Sheila: “Make me up to be just like you…You’re the picture of death!”   Photo of Sheila “Drusilla” Edwards by Alice Bag.
